The perfect essential oil blend for healing the thyroid

If you, like me, are living a non-toxic, clean lifestyle but love to smell good, then you will probably be on the look out for an alternative to conventional perfume. I want to share with you my ‘super energising thyroid’ blend that I have made from nothing but pure, organic essential oils. In fact, the entire perfume has only FOUR ingredients. This smells so gorgeous and when I knew I had to give up my perfume (unfortunately due to the large amounts of chemicals and toxins in perfume), I was so gutted! I felt naked without it!!! But essential oils have been a life-saver for me, they can smell just as good and they are not filled with CHEMICALS!!! Obviously there are still poor quality ones out there so you have to make sure they are 100% pure.

I use four essential oils for my ‘Super energising thyroid’ blend. These are:

1. Frankincense

What is frankincense essential oil good for?

Frankincense essential oil is often referred to as the ‘king’ of essential oils. It is good for just about anything and smells INCREDIBLE! It has been said to be good for anxiety and depression, boosting the immune system, it is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, heals skin, prevents ageing, balances hormones, improves fertility, helps digestion. Yes, I know - It is absolutely PERFECT for the thyroid, as it helps with pretty much all of the thyroid-related symptoms! Mainly hormone imbalances, inflammation, digestion, and balancing the immune system.

2. Geranium

What is geranium essential oil good for?

Geranium essential oil is what gives this blend the ‘perfume-like’ smell. It is sweet and floral, and much like frankincense, it is also perfect for balancing hormones, inflammation, stress relief and dry skin - everything we dream of!

To boost your healing experience, say either out loud, or in your head: ’I am healing more and more everyday in every way’ whilst applying to your skin.

3. Peppermint

What is peppermint essential oil good for?

Peppermint essential oil has been said to help with IBS, digestion, nausea, respiratory and sinus problems, muscle and joint pain. It has also been said to promote hair growth - a perfect choice for those who are hypothyroid.

4. Lemongrass

What is lemongrass essential oil good for?

Lemongrass essential oil is a real energy-booster! It is also great for menstrual cramps, stomach issues such as gastritis and gastric ulcers, supports the immune system and has been said to relieve stress and anxiety.

My recipe:

For a 10ml roller bottle:

6 drops frankincense

5 drops geranium

2 drops lemongrass

3 drops peppermint

Fill the rest with fractionated coconut oil

Apply to the base of you neck and your wrists throughout the day. To boost your healing experience, say either out loud, or in your head: ’I am healing more and more everyday in every way’ whilst applying to your skin. This is almost guaranteed to leave you feeling instantly energised and peaceful.
