Essential Oils for hormones

These two blends are absolutely MADE for those with thyroid disease and hormone imbalances. They balance hormones and balance out the endocrine system. Not only do they work their magic on our hormones, they smell AMAZING. You can even wear these as a natural and toxic-free alternative to perfume! When mixing your own blends, just be sure to buy organic and pure essential oils. They really do vary in quality, so look for ethical, pure brands that look after the environment. Let me begin by explaining a little about the ingredients I've used and what they do.

Ylang Ylang essential oil
Reduces anxiety and depression through calming and uplifting effects
Encourages hair growth (great for thyroid disease or menopause)
Clary Sage essential oil
Natural antidepressant
Regulates the menstrual cycle
Helps with period cramps
Helps with menopausal symptoms
Regulates oestrogen levels
Calming for the adrenals
Increases blood circulation
Geranium essential oil
Hormone-balancing
Good for menopausal symptoms
Anti-inflammatory
Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties
Lavender essential oil
Reduces anxiety and depression
Improves sleep
Packed full of antioxidants and therefore slows down the ageing process
In one study it was even found to helped with blood sugar imbalances (which can set the hormones out-of-balance)
Recipe for my hormone-balancing evening blend
This hormone-balancing evening blend has a herbaceous, earthy and a gentle floral scent, perfect for winding down at night-time. A couple of hours before you go to bed, put these oils into a diffuser and inhale in order to calm your adrenals and get your body ready for sleep. By inhaling these oils, you are telling your body that it is time to slow down and relax. In addition to inhaling these oils, rub this blend into the base of your feet just before you go to sleep. I also recommend applying this blend to the base of your neck (where the thyroid is) and also to your abdomen. This blend is fantastic for helping you get to sleep. Sleep is vitally important when healing any health condition and re-balancing your body.
Recipe for my hormone-balancing evening blend (makes 10ml):
7 drops of Clary sage essential oil
5 drops of Lavender essential oil
Fill the rest of the 10ml bottle with fractionated coconut oil
Recipe for my hormone-balancing day blend
This hormone-balancing morning blend is beautifully sweet and floral. It makes me think of fuchsia pink and orange flowers. It is lively, rejuvenating, but also calming at the same time. It is great for re-connecting you to your feminine energy and helping you to feel your true power as a woman. Rub this blend onto your pulse points and the base of your neck (the thyroid). You can even massage it into your hair! It smells go gorgeous and is a fantastic pure replacement for perfume.
Recipe for my hormone-balancing day blend (makes 10ml):
7 drops of Ylang Ylang essential oil
5 drops of Geranium essential oil
Fill the rest of the 10ml bottle with fractionated coconut oil
